Cory Everson Bodybuilding Biography


Cory Everson Ms Olympia Female Bodybuilder

Corinna "Cory" Everson is a female bodybuilder that has won the tall women bodybuilding category many times. She was born in Racine, Wisconsin on January 4, 1958. Her name before she got married to a bodybuilder called Jeff Everson was Corinna Kneuer.

She was a born athlete and was playing sports throughout her childhood and then graduated from and Deerfield which was in Illinois. She then received a full scholarship as a track athlete at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She excelled at gymnastics, track & field as well as badminton.

Cory met her future husband at the University as he was a strength coach and they would often get together for his coaching lessons on strength. The two of them fell in love and got married in 1982 where together they worked and built up a successful mail-order clothing business that was called Sampson and Delilah.

They were also very involved in helping to bring orphans into the USA from Russia with Nightlight Christian Adoptions. After being married for two years they both decided to adopt a Romanian child through this agency. It was a decision that Cory said she will never regret as she loves the child dearly.

With the help and guidance from her husband Jeff she started training seriously once she graduated. Cory made rapid progress often training with Jeff at Ernie's Gym, which was on Sherman Avenue in Madison. Cory was genetically gifted as a bodybuilder and decided to enter her first female bodybuilding competition in 1980.

She won the Ms. Mid America the first time she put a foot onstage and also won the Overall in that competition. But Cory was just getting started in female bodybuilding and won every time she entered winning the next competitions which were Ms. Midwest Open in 1981 once again taking the overall prize and then Ms. Central USA as well as the Couples America which she won with her husband Jeff.

She continued to compete sometimes four times in one year winning every time. In 1984 she entered and won the NPC national championships and then went on to win her first Ms.Olympia completion, which was going to start a trend that would last for six years.

Cory decided to stop after winning her last Ms.Olympia in 1989 and began acting which is something that got her into some high rated movies like her first movie with Jean-Claude Van Damme in 1991 called Double Impact.

She then got a role playing Kara who was a bone-crushing assassin helping the main bad-guy which involved some very impressive fight scenes. Cory also got a short cameo part, which she did very well, in the blockbuster Natural Born Killers which was done in 1994.

She did another movie a year later called Ballistic, which is also known, in some countries as The Fist of Justice. Playing an evil muscle woman she had to convince the audience that she was not a good person, which ended with a final epic fight with Marjean Holden who was playing an undercover cop.

Cory also did a number of TV guest appearances like when she played the part as Atalanta in the Hercules series: The Legendary Journeys. On shows like To Tell The Truth Game Show as well as being the original host for the popular fitness show BodyShaping that she also produced. She hosted a show on ESPN called Cory Everson's Gotta Sweat for seven years.
