Barbara Outland Biography
Barbara Outland Arnold Schwarzenegger Girlfriend
Barbara Outland was the girlfriend of Arnold Schwarzenegger and his first love; they dated from 1969 till 1975. They also lived together for three years in a Santa Monica apartment. She was even announced at the 1973 Mr. Olympia, by contest promoter Tommy Minicelloas, as the future Mrs. Schwarzenegger.Arnold talked about Barbara in his book "Arnold: The Education of a Bodybuilder" he said she was the first women he allowed himself to have feelings for and that despite his love for her they broke up because they wanted different things in life. While she wanted a normal life of marriage, kids, stability, etc. he wanted to continue to achieve success and be anything but normal.
Barbara also told her side of the story in her book "Arnold and Me: In the Shadow of the Austrian Oak".
In the 2005 move "See Arnold Run", which is about Schwarzenegger's campaign for governor of California, but also has many analogy flashbacks to 1974 with him getting ready for the Mr. Olympia contest; the character of Barbara was played by the late actress Nicole DeHuff.
Barbara Outland Baker is an English professor, posture alignment pain specialist and a writer.
She married John Baker and they currently live in McKinney, Texas.
